Raiding Ranks:
Raiding Rank 1 - Initiate
Getting here: All newly tagged raiders will be in this phase for the first 40 available raid hours of their time with us.
Loot Priority: Players in this phase will not be eligible for ANY loot unless it will otherwise be DE'd. To clarify, any member bid for any reason on a given loot item will have priority over raiders in this rank. Raiders in this rank will not be eligible for any BoE resources (Hearts, Epic Gems, Patterns, Etc)
Leaving this rank: At any time in this period the initiate may be given a list of specific tasks to improve upon and a set time limit for re-evaluation of these tasks. (This list and time period will be set by the Role Leader and approved by the applicable GM.) Upon re-evaluation, the initiation period may be terminated. If after the 40 hours of available raid time their Role Leader and applicable GM feel the applicant is doing well, they may be promoted to the next rank. Initiates cannot leave this rank prior to the completion of 40 hours of available raid time.
Raiding Rank 2 - Associate
Getting here: Raiders may be promoted to this rank from Rank 1 OR demoted to this rank from Rank 3.
Loot Priority: Raiders in this rank will receive on spec items over pvp or "toy" bids from raiders of a higher rank. On spec bids from raiders of this rank verses off spec or situational use bids from raiders of a higher rank will be decided via officer discretion. Officers will weigh the intended use of the item by the higher ranked raider in our raiding environment verse the integration and progression of the raider in this rank. On spec bids from raiders of a higher rank will have priority over on spec bids from raiders of this rank, though Officers reserve the right to award loot to Associates over Members via officer discretion. Raiders of this rank will be eligible for BoE resources subject to role leader and appropriate GM approval.
Leaving this rank: Once a raider has spent 120 available raid hours in this rank they will be evaluated by their role leader and applicable GM. If they have not maintained 75% attendance in this time period and have not received a waiver for special circumstances, their raiding tenure will be terminated. If the raider has met our attendance requirements, the Role Leader and applicable GM will evaluate the player's; skill, attitude, commitment and level of preparedness for raids. Based on this they will decide to: extend the raider's time in this phase by an additional 120 raid hours, terminate their raiding tenure or promote the raider to the next rank.
Raiding Rank 3 - Member
Getting here: Raiders may be promoted to this rank from Rank 2 OR demoted to this rank from Rank 4.
Loot Priority: This loot priority will equate to our current member rank loot priority. They will have the priorities previously explained over the previous ranks. Raiders in this rank will be consider of equal priority in the normal operation of the loot system to raiders in rank 4.
Leaving this rank: A raider will remain in this rank until they prove themselves to be exceptional either in a positive or negative light. Members who fail to meet the expectations of their Role Leader and applicable GM may be demoted to Rank 2 and provide with a list of tasks to work on. Member with exceptional attendance, attitude, commitment, and skill may be promoted to Rank 4 again at the discretion of their Role Leader and applicable GM.
Raiding Rank 4 - Veteran
Getting here: Raiders may be promoted to this rank from Rank 3 at the discretion of their Role Leader and applicable GM PROVIDING they have achieved one of the following time commitments; 6 months within our guild at 75% attendance OR 4 months within our guild at 90% attendance. In addition, members of this rank will (in the opinion of the Role Leader and applicable GM) display excellence in the following categories: Preparedness Commitment, Attitude and Skill.
Loot Priority: In the normal operation of our loot system raiders of this rank will be considered equal to raiders of rank 3.
Perks: Raiders of this rank will receive preferential treatment for raid invites, subject to raid composition needs and Role Leader discretion. In addition, officers will be more likely to invoke officer discretion in favor of these raiders regarding marquee loot items.
Leaving this rank: Raiders whose attendance drops below 75% will automatically demoted barring special circumstances. Raiders of this rank may be demoted to Rank 3 at anytime the Role Leader and applicable GM agree that a significant negative change has impacted their Preparedness, Commitment, Attitude and/or Skill.
NOTES:
Barring extreme attitude problems, raiding members should be demoted through the ranks all the way down to Rank 2 prior to removal from our raiding ranks.
Subject to the same attendance policies as members, officers will be considered as Rank 4 for purposes of loot distribution.
Friend/Alt: These characters are friends or alts of a raiding member of our guild. A raid leader may at their discretion invite a friend or alt rank member to a raid; however these members will only be eligible to receive loot that no raiding member wants and has the right to decline raid invitations. Friend status members are not subject to attendance or afk notification standards.
II. Shared guild resources
Guild Gold - A guild fund of 1000g is maintained by the Admin leader and the other guild leaders to fund requested respecs and acquire items needed for raids. This fund is fueled by the collection of items level uncommon and above that drop in 25 man raid instances. When this fund exceeds 1000 gold by enough to provide all guildmates rank initiate or above who are above the minimum EP threshold (see EPGP System document) 50g, then the excess gold is distributed to those meeting the qualifications above.
Shared Materials Needs: In the event that the guild has a shared material need for progression, the guild leaders will ask members to donate needed materials.
